Gender Equality illustration for UN Women’s 2021 Generation Equality Campaign.

Visual assets for marketing video. It shows visual analogy of the eye care practice as a multifaceted machine. Patients come in one side for all sorts of reasons, and if the machine is working properly, they’ll come out the other side happy. But when lack of technician training, the machine start failing and the patients start coming out sad and/or angry.

This illustration drew inspiration from women's rights activists and marches around the world across different generations. I wanted to depict the vibrancy, strength and passion of gender equality advocates using an uplifting tone in support of UN Women's Generation Equality campaign.

25 November has been designed as the Orange Day by the UNiTE to End Violence against Women Campaign. These selected characters are for the campaign. The color orange symbolizes a brighter future, free of violence. It also serves as a means of demonstrating solidarity in eliminating all forms of violence and it is therefore used as the color of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
